Conkers Nursery
We would love to tell you more...
Our Philosophy
Conkers Nursery is purpose-built to offer a home from home childcare experience for your child. This homely environment alongside activities, resources and planned and unplanned experiences encourage all aspects of children’s learning and development. From a very early age, children are stimulated and challenged with activities teaching them to discover more about themselves, the world and each other.
We implement the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework and follow the Development Matters in the Birth to Five Framework (which is the non-statutory guidance material which supports practitioners in implementing the statutory requirements of the EYFS). Practitioners complete observations and use these to plan for individual children on a termly basis and share these with parents who are encouraged to offer their input also.
Children can develop their physical skills in our fantastic natural wooded outdoor areas where children are encouraged to explore and investigate in all weathers.
The nursery is split into 4 units- The Baby Unit (0-1 years), The Tweenie Unit (1-2 years), The Toddler Unit (2-3 years) and The Pre-school Unit (3-4 years).
